LEICESTERSHIRE PROPERTY MARKET
DRIVING GROWTH AND OPPORTUNITY
T
he property market in
Leicestershire is currently
showing considerable
strength, supported by a mix
of commercial investment,
housing demand, and
government-backed
infrastructure improvements.
Both the residential and
commercial sectors are
benefiting from a combination
of economic resilience,
regeneration schemes, and
growing investor confidence.
STRONG COMMERCIAL
MOMENTUM
One of the most encouraging
signs for the county is the sharp
rise in commercial property
activity. The East Midlands
as a whole has enjoyed a
record year for commercial
investment, and Leicestershire
is leading the way. In 2024, the
area saw nearly £650 million
worth of commercial property
deals—its highest total in over a
decade. Industrial properties, in
particular, are in high demand.
A key example was the largescale acquisition of a multi-site
industrial portfolio based across
Leicestershire, which underlined
the region’s growing appeal to
institutional investors.
This uptick in commercial
confidence is a positive indicator
for the wider property market.
When businesses invest, it often
leads to job creation, population
growth, and increased demand
for housing—all of which
contribute to a healthier
property ecosystem.
