The 2026 Miami Open promises high octane tennis on Florida’s
hard courts, with top stars and rising talents battling for glory
T
he Miami Open presented by Itaú will
run f rom 18 March to 29 March 2026 at
Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens,
Florida. This flagship event is a combined ATP
Masters 1000 and WTA 1000 tournament played
on outdoor hard courts and is the second stop
of the early hard court “Sunshine Swing” after
Indian Wells.
On the men’s tour, last year’s surprise champion
Jakub Menšík will be one of the players to
watch after he claimed his f irst ATP Tour and
Masters 1000 title in Miami in 2025, defeating
Novak D jokovic in straight sets in the f inal. The
men’s f ield for 2026 is expected to be strong,
with most of the world’s top players entered,
including Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev,
Taylor Fritz and Daniil Medvedev among likely
seeds. World number one Jannik Sinner will also
be on court after missing the 2025 event due

to suspension, adding an intriguing dynamic to
the draw.
The women’s draw will feature a deep and
talented group, with hard court specialists such
as Aryna Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Elena
Rybakina expected to compete. Sabalenka is
the reigning Miami Open champion after her
unbeaten run in the 2025 event, while Rybakina
arrives on the back of her 2026 Australian Open
title, signalling strong form on the biggest
stages. Rising talents like Coco Gauff and
Jessica Pegula are also capable of deep runs,
and British players including Emma Raducanu
will aim to make their mark as the season builds
towards the clay swing.
Miami’s mix of elite tennis, lively atmosphere
and fan engagement makes it one of the
premier stops on the annual tour.
